Systems Integration Engineer II

Job Summary
Conduct intermediate systems integration tasks with growing proficiency, managing software and hardware integration independently. Lead verification and validation (V&V) activities for specific components or subsystems while performing requirements analysis and management. Develop and execute detailed test plans, support configuration management efforts, and solve technical problems using advanced analytical thinking. This role requires a Secret U.S. Security Clearance and involves working in a hybrid environment with occasional travel. The position is open for a minimum of five days. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in systems integration or related field
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
- Proficiency with integration tools and methodologies
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multidisciplinary design & development teams
- Understanding of requirements development and management, system design, systems integration, technical risk identification, management strategies, and V&V principles
- This position requires the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship status is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
- Hand/finger dexterity for integration tasks
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Experience or certification in International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards [Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP)]
- Background in Aerospace and Defense industry
- Ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts
- Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts
- Technical problem solving skills and ability to develop innovative technical solutions
- Ability to guide technical designs through development into a final deliverable product
- Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment emphasizing rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervision
- Proven successful experience in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military
