Job Summary
Lead the integration of space, ground, and crypto segments to deliver strategic military satellite communications capabilities for the U.S. Space Force. Manage the engineering team supporting the program office while translating real-world needs into technical specifications for customer-focused solutions. Provide direct support to the chief engineer and ensure capabilities meet evolving threats through risk management and program reviews. Collaborate with Booz Allen colleagues, contractors, and government personnel to develop next-generation systems, utilizing tools like Microsoft Teams and JIRA to drive complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience performing systems engineering or integration in DoD space systems or ground systems
- 5+ years of experience with performing the risk management process on space-related Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, software, and hardware system
- 5+ years of experience with identifying, analyzing, and proposing space systems or ground systems program risks, issues, opportunities, and mitigating handling plans
- Experience with DoD technical program reviews, including SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, or PCAs
- Ability to be highly motivated, display a dynamic work ethic, and contribute to the DoD mission
- Ability to effectively communicate, work collaboratively on a cross functional team and independently, demonstrating initiative to complete complex tasks to achieve program goals in a fast-paced environment
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Satellite Communications Mission area
- Experience with space acquisition
- Experience with a software program utilizing Agile methodologies
- Experience with Confluence or JIRA
- Ability to learn and solve problems quickly and creatively
- Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
- INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP
