Job Summary
Develop and deliver comprehensive systems furniture installation training programs across North America, creating materials, scripts, and assessments for new product launches. Supervise mock-up installations, coordinate logistics for training setups, and manage participant registration and payments. Conduct in-class and practical sessions at facilities in the United States and Canada, while providing remote and on-site technical support to resolve challenges. Assess installer performance against certification standards, issue certificates, and maintain an up-to-date database. Support warranty/claims resolutions, document on-site inspections, and collaborate with engineering and design teams to track and resolve product issues. Create and publish the Teknion Installation Support e-Newsletter.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in furniture installation
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be willing and able to travel into the United States and Canada, with occasional international trips
- Must be willing and able to travel on short notice and occasionally for extended periods of time
- Must undergo and successfully complete a background check consistent with Teknion's employment policies
