Job Summary
Lead system design and define product requirements based on customer and stakeholder needs, translating them into robust concepts and architectures. Own and maintain requirements, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, traceability, and product quality. Drive the full system lifecycle—from concept and architecture through integration, verification, and customer feedback. Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between hardware, software, and workflows. Lead risk management activities, including identification, assessment, and mitigation. Establish and govern system engineering processes, methods, and best practices. Support product launches and continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a subject matter expert in system engineering, supporting technical direction and decision-making. Work in a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule in Uppsala.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English
- Strong experience in requirements engineering, architecture, and integration across multiple domains
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to development
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience preferred in system engineering, product development, or similar roles involving complex systems
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices or diagnostics)
- Spoken fluency in Swedish
