Job Summary
The Automation & Control (A&C) Technician will perform daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing A&C systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI) on the production floor, support system upgrades and backups, and assist in preventive maintenance and health checks. Responsibilities include first-line diagnosis and resolution of A&C issues, collaboration with engineers for root-cause analysis, deployment support for new A&C assets and function upgrades, change requests execution, and ensuring data accuracy and documentation. Emphasis on maintaining system uptime, improving performance, and adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements, with safety and compliance as a priority. Requires hands-on experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA, practical English technical reading, and the ability to work on-site in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan (less than 10% travel). The role offers opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and reliability of manufacturing systems.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Automation & Control, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing automation or equipment maintenance
- Hands-on experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA systems (Ignition experience is a plus)
- Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC, Modbus)
- Experience in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and control systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Basic skills for understanding technical documents in English
- Less than 10% travel required
