Job Summary
Review customer Certification Plans and Change Impact Analyses, then conduct Software Reviews (DO-178) and AEH Reviews (DO-254) on desktop and on-site. Approve MSO functional data, develop official correspondence and MSO standards, and provide technical assistance to government and industry. Support project meetings, identify certification issues, and maintain accurate records while staying current with FAA, EASA, RTCA, and SAE guidance. Communicate scope, schedule, and risks to the team and travel to customer locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar technical discipline
- Operational knowledge of RTCA DO-178 and DO-254
- Operational knowledge of TSO program processes and general FAA regulations and guidance
- Basic knowledge of GPS and how MOPS such as RTCA DO-229 are invoked for equipment certification
- Able to analyze FAA regulatory requirements and advisory materials
- Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, a sense of urgency and sensitivity to deadlines, and detail oriented
- Technical writing ability
- Ability to communicate and present both orally and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security clearance
- Must be able to travel to customer/applicant locations
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
