Job Summary
Integrate and implement the systems engineering process for turbine-based propulsion systems, including defining requirements, performing analyses, and tracking reliability, hazards, and risk management. Conduct system safety analysis involving fault tree creation, hazard analysis, FMEA, and FMECA generation while substantiating design decisions for technical leadership. Work with cross-functional engineering teams to organize data according to customer requirements and Williams best practices, define verification and validation tracking, and produce timely customer-defined data packages. Collaborate closely with the Program Management team throughout the project lifecycle. This 100% on-site role requires a Bachelor's in STEM and 5+ years of technical experience within systems engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 5+ years of technical experience within Systems Engineering
- Broad technical knowledge base of turbine engine or airframe technology
- Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions, including deriving requirements into actionable steps
- Experience with FMEA, FMECA or Fault Tree Analysis
- Familiarity with Electronics or Software systems
- Demonstrates ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships across the organization
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills with effective negotiation and conflict-resolution experience
- Demonstrates organizational skills and ability to produce a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Possesses written communication skills and proficiency in document preparation
- Familiarity with commercial standards (SAE ARP 4754, SAE ARP 4761, DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254 certification) and the equivalent military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-882, etc.)
- U.S. citizenship
- Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed
- Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Desired Qualifications
- Active US Security Clearance
- Direct experience on US Air Force digital engineering programs
- Proficiency with MBSE processes/principles/tools and Digital Transformation methodologies to enable application of these approaches across diverse products
- Experience with MBSE and Engineering software tools
