Job Summary
Specify detailed system requirements, behavioral models, and interface definitions for the Onboard PTC Application product, including input requirements for doors systems. Participate in requirement and design reviews with customers and development teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Verify pass/fail criteria for critical functions and tests while driving technical issues to resolution through hands-on troubleshooting in lab or field environments. Support interworking between PTC and other products, utilizing version control for documentation updates. Occasional travel to locomotive builders and customer locations to provide system expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
- Proven experience in Systems Engineering and/or product development, including software, hardware, integration, testing, or validation activities
- Experience with requirements management, configuration management, and defect tracking tools such as IBM ELM, DOORS Next, Rational Team Concert, RequisitePro, Telelogic Change, SharePoint, SVN, or equivalent platforms
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, including requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, and interface management
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and modeling languages such as SysML or UML
- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills, with a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with a strong commitment to quality and continuous learning

Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with INCOSE Systems Engineering practices, standards, or certifications (ASEP, CSEP)
- Experience with safety-critical systems and familiarity with applicable industry standards and assurance processes, including CENELEC
- Experience in railway, aerospace, automotive, defense, industrial automation, or other regulated industries
