Job Summary
Systems Engineer role within Visa's O&I PaaS Middleware Engineering team. Design, build, and support middleware solutions using Hazelcast, Qlik, Flink, Temporal, and Striim; collaborate with application developers, architects, and stakeholders to design scalable middleware architectures; implement and integrate middleware components to ensure seamless data flow; provide Level 3 support and perform maintenance tasks including software updates and performance tuning. Requires experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD, and programming in Java, Python, or Scala; familiarity with distributed systems, data integration, security concepts, and open-source tools. This is a hybrid position with in-office days expected, in Bengaluru, India.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 1 year of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or PhD
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with middleware technologies including Hazelcast, Qlik-Striim, Flink, Temporal, Striim
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with distributed systems and data integration
- Understanding of security concepts (Kerberos, SSL) and OpenSource tools
- Ability to work within a globally distributed team in a high-performance environment
