Job Summary
Systems Engineer to sustain Defence tactical communications within the CA31 Tactical Communications Network (TCN) team. Deliver systems engineering across the capability lifecycle, conduct investigations and technical assessments, manage certification packages, configuration and change management, assess technical packages, manage supplier deliverables, support safety assurance and regulatory compliance, identify technical risks, contribute to engineering planning, and mentor developing engineers within a Defence-focused, governance-driven environment. Engage with Defence, CASG, ADF and industry stakeholders to ensure alignment with engineering governance and regulatory frameworks. Essential experience includes knowledge of military deployable voice/data communications, Systems Engineering principles, and ASDEFCON deliverables; highly desirable with 8+ years of Defence delivery, COMSEC experience, RF/network engineering, safety case development, ERP (SAP S/4 HANA), and professional engineer registrations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (Communications, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering or similar) recognised under the Washington Accord
- Registered Professional Engineer (Electrical Engineering) in accordance with the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019
- Ability to satisfy Defence Technical Proficiency Level 3 or 4 requirements
