Job Summary
Conduct in-depth analysis of RAF in-service operational and maintenance issues for the Litening family of Laser Designation Pods, developing associated solutions and recommendations. Manage safety and airworthiness issues to ensure compliance with applicable regulations while coordinating technical planning for airborne and ground-based modifications. Liaise with international stakeholders including BAE Systems, Airbus, and the UK MoD to maintain Ultra's profile as a provider, and generate technical proposals with accurate estimates for bids. Prepare support for customer integration, demonstrations, and flight trials, explaining complex concepts to less technical parties. Obtain and maintain SC security clearance to handle export-controlled material as required.
Required Qualifications
- SC security clearance
- Extensive experience in the military avionics domain at the aircraft systems level
- Degree educated in an engineering or similar field or have equivalent experience and knowledge of airborne electro optic systems
- Extensive experience or qualifications relation to aircraft systems safety
- Demonstrable experience of dealing with and presenting to both UK and overseas suppliers, customers and end users
- Ability to obtain, and maintain, SC security clearance
