Job Summary
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate system requirements into technical specifications and design architectures for hardware, software, networks, and integration components. Evaluate existing systems to propose performance improvements, conduct integration testing, and implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot root causes, and manage deployments, upgrades, and migrations while minimizing operational disruption. Develop and maintain documentation, provide technical support to end users, and stay informed on emerging technologies to ensure system reliability and scalability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of five years in IT infrastructure design and implementation
- Strong knowledge of system architecture principles, including distributed computing, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Proficiency in system administration, including Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices for securing systems and data
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business requirements and industry trends
