Systems Engineer

Torch Technologies seeks a Systems Engineer to lead modernization efforts for the Missile Defense Agency’s digital transformation, delivering capabilities for the Missile Defense System at speed and scale. The role focuses on developing and advancing the MDA Enterprise Government Reference Architecture (GRA), replacing document-heavy workflows with a dynamic digital engineering ecosystem featuring automated, traceable collaboration and documentation. Responsibilities include conducting and contributing to engineering analyses and trade studies with data-supported recommendations, developing systems engineering modernization strategies and implementation plans, participating in technical interchange meetings and providing technical reviews of MBSE data, fostering real-time collaboration across engineering teams and stakeholders, analyzing DoW and MDA strategies to ensure alignment, promoting efficiency and traceability in fast-paced environments, and preparing and delivering briefings to senior leaders. The position requires working onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, governance of systems thinking, and applying best practices in systems engineering across the organization. The role also emphasizes executive communication skills and the ability to present complex concepts to leadership while driving modernization initiatives within a government-definitions-based context.
