Job Summary

Conduct advanced requirements engineering, systems integration, and verification & validation efforts while leading system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management. Manage architecture and design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management to drive project success and exceed cost, performance, and schedule requirements. Guide junior engineers and mentor less experienced team members within a multi-disciplinary design and development environment. Requires a Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or related field with 6+ years of experience, proficiency in modeling tools, and ability to work in a hybrid setting with occasional travel. This role supports the ISR and Aviation business area as a prime integrator for innovative manned and unmanned aircraft systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Systems modeling and simulation tools
  • Practical knowledge of multiple Engineering principles and practices
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation
  • Knowledge of systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
  • Hand/finger dexterity for system modeling and documentation
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel
  • Current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiar with real-time operating systems and embedded systems
  • Background in Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB
  • Practical knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to, requirements management, MBSE
  • Experience or certification in International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards [Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP)/Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)]
  • Ability to administer baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies
  • Exposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Agile methodologies and Scrum Master certification
