Job Summary
Systems Engineer (SETA) Mid-Level to support national security space decisions. Integrate all-source intelligence with engineering analysis, modeling and simulation to evaluate foreign space and counterspace capabilities; contribute to trade studies, mission thread analysis, and test and evaluation planning to reduce technical risk. Develop and execute M&S cases using STK/AFSIM and Python/MATLAB; translate intelligence into requirements, MOP/MOE, and risk considerations for architectures. Coordinate with customer mission centers, USSF/SSC, IC, and Combatant Commands to ensure analytic rigor and traceability. Produce technically grounded assessments and briefings; provide SETA support across the acquisition lifecycle including requirements analysis, architecture decomposition, integration, verification/validation, and configuration management. On-site location in Chantilly, VA and Reston, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
- 5–10 years in space, defense, or IC analysis or systems engineering
- Experience with space mission Modeling & Simulation tools (e.g., STK, AFSIM, or equivalent)
- Working understanding of space and ground architectures
- Ability to translate intelligence on foreign space and counterspace systems into technical requirements and performance measures
- Strong collaboration with IC/DoD and mission stakeholders
