Job Summary
Translate complex satellite mission needs into technical specifications to support Agile design, development, integration, and deployment of mission management software for heterogeneous satellite constellations. Lead engineering product teams through the system development life cycle, defining requirements, scoping increments, developing architectures, and ensuring rigorous application of high-quality requirements analysis, development, testing, and cybersecurity. Apply expert knowledge of systems engineering and system accreditation processes to deliver classified software to cloud-based infrastructures. This role requires a TS/SCI clearance and 8+ years of experience in systems engineering for complex, cloud-based, or proliferated satellite systems. Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering for complex, cloud-based, or proliferated satellite systems
- Experience as technical lead
- Experience as a systems engineering leader, including delivering complex mission software and developing system architectures, requirements, interface definitions, system test plans, deployment plans, and training
- Experience conducting test and evaluation of system performance and documentation of results
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
- Experience with Modeling and Simulation
- Experience with Agile, systems engineering, requirements management, increment planning, software design, system test planning, risk management, configuration management, and Cybersecurity
- Ability to work onsite at an accredited SCIF/SAPF to support classified system integration
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with mission management or OPIR preferred
- Experience as a cost account manager managing budgets for a team of 10+ engineers
- Experience using Cameo or similar tool for MBSE
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including Jira for requirements and Confluence for data reporting
- Experience with program protection and cybersecurity hardening, including High/Moderate security categorizations
- Knowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) techniques
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems preferred
- Master's degree a plus
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
