Job Summary
Act as a field-based technical solutions leader collaborating closely with sales and partners to pursue new business through technical product presentations, architecture design, installations, and ongoing consultation. Analyze customer requirements to demonstrate how Lancope's solutions meet their needs and maintain awareness of competitive technologies. Develop and respond to proposals tailored to customer specifications, while providing product feature input to product management. Requires a strong technical background with at least 6 years in related roles, proficiency in networking concepts, and willingness to travel.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in a sales engineering role at a data network vendor, DPI equipment vendor, security vendor, service provider or network security company.
- 6+ years of related technical experience, installing, designing, managing, administering and supporting an enterprise network.
- Proven ability to provide hands on technical product demonstrations and training.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven track record of helping sales account managers close deals with Fortune 1000 customers.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, Load balancers, proxies and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of network security including DDoS, Firewall, IDS, IPS, anti-virus and common exploits.
- Solid understanding of IP network design/operation.
- Excellent Presentation, written, and verbal skills.
