Job Summary
Develop and manage system requirements for energy and battery management systems, allocating them across engineering disciplines. Analyze and design system architectures, evaluating trade studies to identify optimum configurations and writing technical proposal content. Lead technical development efforts for battery system designs, including electrical, software, and mechanical features, while developing and executing safety, reliability, and risk management strategies. Identify and evaluate new technologies for next-generation systems, building models, simulations, and prototypes. Schedule and cost the development and manufacture of battery systems. Requires 10 years of systems design experience with electrical systems, Simulink, and Model-Based Design. US citizen or green card holder required.
Required Qualifications
- MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER
- Bachelors in Software or Electrical engineering, OR Other Engineering Bachelors combined with Systems Engineering experience
- 10 years systems design experience with electrical systems including controls, sensors, and software
- System architect for complex systems
- Able to judge value of product features and functions to make product decisions that are appealing to customers
- Aviation certification and battery experience
- Simulink, Model-Based Design, Visio, Electrical and Electronics Experience
