Job Summary
Lead high-level design, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems while managing system requirements to ensure delivery compatible with defined architectures. Provide technical leadership for developing System Engineering Plans, Interface Control Documents, and related documentation. Conduct system trade analyses to optimize operations over the lifecycle and use validated models, simulations, and prototyping to mitigate development risks. Serve as a member of the Configuration Control Board to manage evolving system configurations and oversee interface design for software and hardware. Ensure compliance with agency, national, and international standards while developing alternative courses of action and monitoring risks using Earned Value Management. This role supports the development of production systems at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, requiring a minimum of 20 years of experience as a Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope and complexity.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
- Minimum 7 years as a Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
- Five years of additional experience may substitute for a degree
- Strong foundational knowledge in systems engineering principles and practices
- Minimum 14 years as a Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Minimum 20 years as a Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Strong leadership and technical expertise in systems engineering, risk assessment, and architecture development
- Proven technical leadership and expertise in risk management, complex system integration, and lifecycle management
