Job Summary
Mid-level Systems Engineer on-site at Fort Meade, MD to support system lifecycle activities for complex technical systems for Air Force/DOD clients. Responsibilities include design, development, integration, testing, production, deployment, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning; ensure reliable operation; translate requirements with cross-functional teams; troubleshoot and implement improvements; evaluate system performance; create and maintain technical documentation; coordinate with vendor partners; promote best practices. Requires current TS/SCI with polygraph, U.S. citizenship, and a bachelor’s or higher in engineering or related technical discipline; 3-7 years of related lifecycle experience; strong English communication; relocation support is considered for candidates outside the DC Metro area.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Current TS/SCI with polygraph
- Education: Engineering or other technical discipline related to systems engineering such as computer science, physics, or math
- Experience: Bachelor’s with 7 years of related experience OR Master’s with 5 year of related experience OR PhD with 3 years of related experience
- 3-7 years of hands-on experience supporting the systems engineering lifecycle including: Design and development, Testing, Production, Deployment and distribution, Operation, Maintenance and support, Decommissioning
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills to work in a collaborative environment with government and contractor teams
- Must be self-driven and able to work independently in a dynamic environment that offers stretch growth opportunities for continuous learning and development
