Job Summary
Provide systems engineering support throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, sustainment, and disposal activities. Translate operational requirements into technical solutions, participate in architecture definition efforts, and review DoD architecture models to enable sensor-to-shooter connectivity. Support risk assessments, develop execution management strategies, and coordinate test and evaluation activities with acquisition organizations. Drive interoperability across Program Executive Offices and engage with joint and coalition stakeholders to develop integrated multi-domain architectures. Capture operational architectures based on mission scenarios and prepare technical briefings for Government leadership. This role aligns the candidate with the Air Mission Integration Team within the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division, working directly with senior leadership to shape the future of the Department of the Air Force Battle Network.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have and be able to maintain an active Top Secret level clearance and be SCI eligible
- Must have experience and knowledge in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Must have 3+ years of experience and within the DoD sector
- Must be able to work onsite at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA
- Must be able to travel per the customer's discretion
- Must have knowledge of systems acquisition and program management processes as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5000.75
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field
- Experience with Systems Engineering across the acquisition lifecycle
- Experience with Systems Architecture and Integration
- Experience with Requirements Analysis and Development
- Experience with Mission Integration and System-of-Systems Engineering
- Experience with Operational Analysis and Architecture Development
- Experience with Cloud-based systems, including management and projection of cost and performance
- Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and DevOps principles
- Experience with Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis
- Experience with Technical Documentation and Brief Development
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and solve complex problems with minimal oversight
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Government, contractor, joint, and coalition organizations
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
