Systems Engineer (Linux / Windows)

Job Summary
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, and patching operating systems and common services. Your role involves maintaining standard operating procedures, generating monthly reports, and developing technical documentation. You will evaluate and upgrade firewall and network hardware and support Level 1 Engineers during problem resolution. The ideal candidate has experience troubleshooting Linux or Windows Server systems, strong networking knowledge, and good communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) or Windows Server systems
- Good communication skills (written, verbal, and face-to-face)
- Willing to do 24 X 7 standby
- Basic administration and check for performance and security
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Active Directory/DNS, Splunk, Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, BeyondTrust
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
- Familiarity with administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring
