Job Summary
Systems Engineer – Level 5 at Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA, driving development and execution of features for satellite ground systems within an Agile, MBSE-driven environment. Responsibilities include defining requirements and interfaces, verifying design through verification planning and test requirements, integrating and testing software segments, and delivering products to operations. The role demands collaboration with cross-functional teams, engagement with multiple working groups and control boards, demonstrations to customers and leadership, and strong verbal/written communication. Preferred qualifications include deeper experience with space-vehicle command-and-control, cloud architectures, automated testing and integration frameworks, and JIRA/Confluence proficiency. The role requires a current SCI or TS clearance (or ability to obtain) and active engagement in an Agile program; travel is possible up to ~10%. Relocation assistance may be available. Primary Level Salary Range: $177,000 - $265,600.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM
- 12+ years of engineering experience OR
- Master's degree in STEM with 10+ years OR
- PhD in STEM with 8+ years
- Active SCI clearance or active TS clearance and willingness to obtain SCI
- 2+ years MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) experience
- 2+ years using No Magic Cameo or equivalent
- Experience in space-vehicle command-and-control, mission management, or software subsystems
- Experience with REST/HTTP/SW protocols
- Experience with Agile development and Jira/Confluence
