Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer Level 5 – Engineering Coordinator based out of Aurora, CO. Reports directly to the Chief Engineer and acts as delegate at technical meetings. Oversees and guides technical execution across multiple projects through all lifecycle phases. Establishes and collects engineering metrics to monitor program health; supports proposals as a technical contributor/reviewer. Collaborates with systems engineering, development, O&M, and management to ensure high-quality, efficient program delivery. On-site role with no remote/hybrid work; involves frequent interaction with customers and stakeholders; requires active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance and willingness to undergo a Full Scope Polygraph if requested. Preferred experience includes MBSE, SysML/UML modeling, BoEs/TDs for competitive/sole-source proposals, and leading geographically dispersed teams.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years with a Master's; 8 years with a PhD
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies
- Experience with systems engineering, software engineering, RF engineering, system integration, mission engineering
- Experience developing or modifying engineering design artifacts (requirements, capability statements, interface definitions, sequence/activity diagrams, architectural diagrams)
- Experience with structured decision making, trade studies, risk/issue handling
- Experience briefing customers and stakeholders on technical topics
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Willingness to sit for a Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) if requested
- Preferred: MBSE, SysML/UML modeling, BoEs/TDs for proposals, leading geographically dispersed teams
- U.S. Citizenship required for government positions
- Security clearance eligibility and SCI access
