Job Summary

Support capability elicitation and derivation of requirements to realize requested development while collaborating on defining and developing processes and procedures. Research missile defense concepts, space-based sensor phenomenology, and threat model trajectories to work in close coordination with senior engineers on systems engineering artifacts supporting development and testing. Participate in developing and updating technical documentation, system requirements, and user guides for simulation tools, and provide briefings to customers and stakeholders related to technical solutions and process updates. This role splits time between the Northrop Grumman facility and Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, requiring daily on-site presence with limited remote work. Candidates must hold a current active U.S. Government issued Secret Clearance at the time of application, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with access to SCI.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
  • 2 years of related work experience
  • Master's Degree in STEM with 0–2 years of related work experience
  • Practical experience executing or analyzing results from military modeling and simulation (M&S) frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, scripting, or automation using Python, MATLAB, or C++
  • Basic understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts
  • Basic experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as CAMEO or MagicDraw
  • Self-motivated and capable of executing technical tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
  • Current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret Clearance at the time of application
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with access to SCI
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) ground test, flight test, or wargaming events
  • Familiarity with missile defense concepts, space-based tracking/sensors, or orbital mechanics
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Current active in-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance with access to SCI (TS/SCI)
