Job Summary
Systems Engineer sought to design and integrate complex UAV systems, including hardware, software, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols. Responsibilities include system architecture design, translating customer needs into precise specifications, leading tender and proposal responses for government and commercial customers, interface management between subsystems, integration and testing with verifiable traceability to requirements, and performing failure analysis with mitigations. Desired experience includes UAV/UAS or autonomous vehicles, functional safety and safety lifecycle standards, and experience with defence procurement, formal requirements management, and government tenders. The role offers a monthly gross salary in the €4,000-€6,500 range, stock options, and impact as an early hire in a defence technology company.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in product development, mechanical or aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, electronics or similar field
- 4+ years in a systems engineering role within aerospace, defence, robotics, or an adjacent domain
- Experience with UAV, UAS, or autonomous vehicles
- Experience with functional safety, development assurance, safety lifecycle or similar standards
- Able to work independently and exercise sound judgement in a small, fast-moving team
