Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer accountable for design, build, integration, and lifecycle management of Windows-based systems within complex enclave environments. Focuses on Windows domain engineering (Active Directory administration, Group Policy architecture) and integration of core services such as Citrix, Microsoft Exchange, and SQL Server. Responsibilities include system lifecycle design, build, deployment, PKI/certificate services, endpoint security policy enforcement (Trellix ePO), PowerShell automation, and maintaining comprehensive design and as-built documentation. Works to ensure interoperability across infrastructure services and mission applications, supports asset sustainment and incident response, and collaborates with security, application, and network teams to sustain secure, reliable Windows Server environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree required OR Master degree with related experience
- 8+ years of experience with Bachelor OR 6+ years with Master OR 12+ years in lieu of degree
- TS/SCI with Poly clearance
- Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Group Policy
- Experience with WSUS and third-party software patching
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, and Citrix environments
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation
- Ability to create design and as-built documentation
- Experience with certificate and PKI services
- Experience with Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) or similar endpoint security tools
- Ability to collaborate with security, network, storage, and application teams
- Knowledge of integration across enclave systems and cross-platform interoperability
- Ability to support incident response and sustainment activities
- DESIRED: NetApp storage, Nutanix virtualization, FSLogix, VDI, Citrix virtualization
- Security baseline adherence
- Capability to design and implement Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
- Experience with Jira/Confluence/SharePoint for collaboration
- Experience with Citrix environments
