Job Summary
Systems Engineer to support system operations, lifecycle management, and technical coordination across an enterprise IT environment. Responsibilities include coordinating deployments, upgrades, and maintenance; gathering requirements; developing and maintaining system documentation and configurations; providing technical support and troubleshooting; collaborating with vendors and internal/external stakeholders; ensuring ongoing monitoring, compliance, and security requirements; planning upgrades and sustainment activities; and contributing to a collaborative, multi-priority team in a remote work setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 4–7+ years of experience supporting systems engineering, system administration, or related technical roles
- Experience working within enterprise IT environments supporting system operations and lifecycle activities
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure
- Familiarity with Active Directory and system access management
- Experience working with web/application servers (e.g., IIS, Tomcat, or similar)
- Experience with databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, or similar)
- Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment
- Active Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe)
- Experience supporting federal or DoD environments
- Familiarity with Enterprise Information Management (EIM), content management, or data platforms
- Experience with system integration, migration, or modernization efforts
- Experience working in environments with evolving requirements and emerging technologies
- Exposure to cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Occasional off-hours support (evenings/weekends) may be required for system deployments or maintenance activities
- This is a remote position; however, candidates must be able to support U.S.-based federal programs
