Job Summary
Systems Engineer for US Space Force digital engineering and systems modeling work in Colorado Springs, CO (remote option available). Develop models and provide analysis to support defense systems and national security, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team of analysts, software developers, and subject-matter experts. Requires active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain) and a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with 3–6 years of experience. Proficiency in SysML/MBSE concepts and tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler), programming in Python and Groovy, and SQL/JQL for data-driven decision support. Able to communicate across multi-functional teams and provide decision-quality information to senior leaders. Familiarity with Atlassian Confluence and JIRA; DoD space experience and space program knowledge are desirable. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, operations research, mathematics, data science, or any engineering related field
- 3-6 years experience
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
- Strong quantitative and analytic abilities and critical thinking to integrate and analyze data
- Ability to communicate effectively across multi-functional teams
- Experience with Atlassian Confluence and JIRA applications
- Familiarity with MBSE concepts and SysML
- Experience with Python
- Experience with Groovy
- SQL/JQL scripting
- Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler or similar MBSE tools
