Job Summary
Junior Systems Engineer needed to provide system lifecycle support for complex technical systems. Responsibilities include design, development, integration, and maintenance; ensure reliable operation to meet organizational requirements; collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into effective system solutions; apply analytical skills for troubleshooting and improvements; evaluate system performance; create and maintain technical documentation; coordinate with vendor partners; promote industry best practices to meet customer requirements. Requirements include U.S. citizenship, current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, engineering/technical degree, 1–3 years of hands-on lifecycle experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. On-site role in Fort Meade, MD with relocation support considered for candidates outside the DC Metro commuting area. Position is Full-Time W-2 and Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship; no dual citizenship
- Current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
- Education: Engineering or other technical discipline related to systems engineering such as computer science, physics, or math
- Experience: Bachelor’s with 3 years of related experience OR Master’s with 1 year of related experience
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience supporting the systems engineering lifecycle including: Design and development, Testing, Production, Deployment and distribution, Operation, Maintenance and support, Decommissioning
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills to work in a collaborative environment with government and contractor teams
- Must be self-driven and able to work independently in a dynamic environment that offers stretch growth opportunities for continuous learning and development
