Job Summary
Systems Engineer, Journeyman for MH-60R/S helicopter sensor systems at Patuxent River NAS. Responsibilities include applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems; designing and evaluating software/components related to engineering requirements; performing system integration, testing, and evaluation of mission systems within a DoD/Naval Aviation environment; coordinating engineering support with NAVAIR divisions and external facilities; preparing engineering analyses, reports, and technical documentation. Requires acoustics and sensor systems experience, strong documentation and customer-relations skills, self-motivation, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance; hybrid position with onsite work as required at Pax River.
Required Qualifications
- Technical or Scientific Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- At least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in a position related to the labor category description
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one; U.S. Citizenship preferred
