Job Summary
Systems Engineer IV responsible for leading engineering efforts across software, hardware, and web domains, aligning with DoD/DON policies and acquisition processes. Duties include managing the development cycle from specification through design, coding, testing, and maintenance; supporting SETR-related documentation and TRRs; compiling and uploading TRDP artifacts; providing guidance to IMS, RTM alignment, and cross-functional coordination with WIPTs; developing technical documentation (SRS, WBS, TEMPs/eTEMPs) and contributing to test strategies, plans, and post-test analysis; collaborating with stakeholders to ensure requirements traceability, risk management, and program readiness; preparing briefings and presentations for APdM-E reviews; remaining as the go-to engineer when APdM-E travels; leading quarterly reviews and status meetings; and maintaining proactive communication across engineering, logistics, development, and integration teams. Requires extensive experience in systems engineering principles, configuration management, and government/DoD acquisition practices, with a strong emphasis on delivering coherent, timely technical responses to leadership and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- Fourteen (14) years of relevant IT professional experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final roll-out and maintenance
- Ten (10) years of direct experience may be substituted for a Master's degree
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Not eligible for remote work or 100% telework
