Systems Engineer IV - (E4)

Systems Engineer IV at Applied Materials will design, integrate, and optimize complex systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. You’ll coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop advanced solutions, write detailed subsystem specifications, and lead architecture discussions to converge on top-level system designs. Responsibilities include defining system architectures, coordinating with tools and modules, leading complex projects spanning electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms and software design, ensuring design alignment with market requirement specifications, facilitating architecture reviews, guiding subsystems interfaces, performing risk identification and mitigation, supporting system integration during assembly and testing, and collaborating with vendors to develop competitive products. Strong problem-solving, systems thinking, and leadership skills are essential to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet customer expectations while working in a global enterprise with travel expectations and relocation eligibility.
