Job Summary
Systems Engineer III to design, integrate, and optimize complex optical lithography systems for high-performance semiconductor manufacturing. Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle—from customer requirements and system specifications to design, prototyping, verification, validation, manufacturing, installation, and field support. Develop and maintain system test plans, execute DOE experiments to validate system error budgets, troubleshoot and root-cause complex system-level issues in manufacturing and field settings, and collaborate with suppliers on critical optical sub-assemblies. Create and present technical reports, define subsystem-level requirements, and contribute to metrology hardware/software development for automated measurement of key performance metrics. Requires in-depth knowledge of optical-based products in a volume manufacturing environment, strong programming/scripting skills (Matlab, Python), data analysis/visualization capabilities, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary projects toward timely results. Preferred qualifications include image processing, SW automation, AI tool experience, optical modeling/simulation, and experience supporting manufacturing and service organizations through training and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, and/or related fields
- Hands-on experience with designing, assembling, calibrating, and using complex opto-mechanical instrumentation or systems that incorporate light sources, optical sensors, lenses, filters, etc.
- Experience with designing and executing test plans and concept and feasibility studies
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Proficient with data analysis and data visualization techniques
- Strong programming and/or scripting experience such as Matlab, Python, etc.
- Ability to perform system and subsystem level SW debugging based on error messages and SW logs
