Job Summary
Systems Engineer II owns the success of specific dataset collections where external participants are brought into the collection space to go through capture protocols. Responsible for delivering data to downstream partners at the agreed-upon quality bar and schedule, from intake through production, collaborating with research and engineering teams to move from intake request to final data packets, focusing on systems stability and operating throughput while optimizing collection operations. Responsibilities include project intake, system development for collection room changes, testing and sign-off with operations, developing standard operating procedures and training for extended staff, and driving analysis to resolve throughput and quality issues.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Systems/Computer/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- 2-4 years proven field experience resolving HW/SW production issues
- Experience with command line interfaces, network systems, server systems, control systems
- Ability to engage on ambiguous issues
- Root cause analysis and system changes to prevent incidents
- Oscilloscope experience
- Parsing system & software logs
- Understanding of cameras and lenses
- Experience with motion capture, multi-camera systems, time synchronization, robots is a plus
