Job Summary
Lead planning, development, integration, and testing of complex hardware and software systems across the full lifecycle, including requirements elicitation, architecture, and verification. Translate customer and stakeholder needs into actionable tasks for technical teams while collaborating with mechanical, software, and electrical groups to ensure consistent requirement fulfillment. Support engineering analyses, risk assessments, and trade studies to inform critical design decisions, and prepare technical documentation and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences. Liaise across disciplines to clarify design intent and anticipate integration challenges, ensuring solutions meet client and regulatory standards. Contribute to process improvements, technical reviews, and the mentoring of junior staff while advancing proficiency in INCOSE systems engineering standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or systems engineering (or related technical field), or equivalent practical experience
- 2–7 years of experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects, with a focus on systems integration, requirements management, and technical problem-solving
- Fundamental knowledge and application of INCOSE systems engineering principles, with demonstrable experience in requirements capture, traceability, and interface definition
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal development teams and external stakeholders
- U.S. citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and participate in regular communications with remote and local teams
- Occasional travel according to project needs
- Increasing familiarity with INCOSE systems engineering standards, supporting compliance in project work, and advancing toward recognized proficiency in one or more domains
