Job Summary
Conduct weekly status updates on system development progress and allocate requirements to subsystems while coordinating engineering efforts. Evaluate system performance thresholds, develop instrumented flight test vectors, and define build-in-test procedures for fault detection and isolation. Support design and analysis tasks using AeroVironment tools, write system requirements and test plans, and assist in validation testing for autonomous systems. Document work and assist with transitioning new capabilities from prototype to production environments. Work on moderate-scope problems requiring analysis of intangibles under moderate supervision, providing guidance to Associate and Level I Engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering
- 2 - 5 years of experience in a systems engineering role
- Aerospace systems engineering
- Familiarity with C/C++
- Familiarity with Matlab
- Familiarity with office software and computer-based productivity tools
- U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- creating Architectures using Model Based Engineering tools
- Knowledge of Simulink, Ansys and Solidworks
- Familiarity with Python or ROS (Robot Operating System) and Aircraft Terminology
- An understanding of Control Theory and Transform functions
- Aerospace Systems Engineering Experience
- An understanding of Aircraft Terminology
- Exposure to Guidance Navigation and Control Systems along with Modeling Simulation and Control and Model-Based Systems Engineering
