Job Summary
Conduct analysis, architecture, and design for military software-defined radio products across all spectrum bands. Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications while performing functional analysis, trade studies, and requirements allocation. Execute technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation for total system solutions covering concept through disposal. Interface with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop next-generation networking and non-networking waveforms for existing and new communication platforms. This onsite role in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, supports the Mission Systems Airborne and Ground Communication Products Department at Collins Aerospace, helping shape secure communications for global military customers.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- Active and existing security clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
- Onsite work in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
- Relocation eligibility
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, and verification/validation, and transition to production
- Experience with communicating between program stakeholders
- Experience with tools such as DOORS, MATLAB, C++, and Python
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
