Job Summary
Systems Engineer to support Heads Up Technologies’ cabin audio/video hardware and software for business jet applications. Responsibilities include system design, customer engagement, integration and testing, frontline technical support, creating system configuration files from wiring diagrams, developing technical documentation and test plans, setting up proofs of concept, building trade show and customer demonstration setups, and participating in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends. Requires on-site work in Addison, Texas, plus up to 25% travel and strong collaboration with product development, sales, and support teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
- Five or more years of systems engineering experience in an aerospace related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with audio and video distribution technologies, cabin management systems, networking systems, and aircraft wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with Python, XML, databases, networking, and error log analysis.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to customer sites and industry events, including domestic and international travel.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
