Job Summary
Conduct planning, test development, data definition, and task execution for new and existing products within the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG). Collaborate with image scientists, analysts, and statisticians to verify and validate product visual quality and support data accuracy across electrical-optical, RADAR, LIDAR, and multi-spectral sensor phenomenologies. Design tests to validate products against requirements and meet planned concepts of operations. Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to track issues and report status. Requires a BS degree in a relevant engineering field, five years of system engineering experience, and clearance with polygraph within 30 days.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the required clearance and willing to sit for and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Software Engineering, or a related Science or Engineering
- 5+ years of experience as a system engineer to include independent testing and data verification, requirements, and development of concept of operations
- Experience with sensor imaging systems, products, and exploitation processes
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with emphasis on briefing to obtain decisions and solve technical issues and test plans/reports writing
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn, solve problems and perform in a dynamic work environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in remote sensing phenomenologies (for example EO/IR/SAR)
- Knowledge of NSG tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) image chain
- Experience with product quality assessments, visual or metadata assessments
