Job Summary
Systems Engineer for the Ground Support System of the A400M Defensive Aids Subsystem (DASS). Responsible for analysis of avionics design/requirements, data interfaces, and mission data workflows; defining/adapting design requirements to mission data generation; creating requirements and interface specifications and acceptance tests; producing technical documentation; identifying and resolving system integration, verification, and qualification issues; conducting end-user trainings and supporting customer workshops; providing in-service support for mission data generation and aircraft operation. Requires a university engineering degree (or Master) and at least 5 years in Systems Engineering, with experience in self-defensive/radar/electronic support systems, knowledge of EW principles, and proficiency with DOORS and Enterprise Architect; comfortable with Jira/Confluence/Bamboo; able to travel within A400M nations; security clearance eligibility. The role is based in Manching, Germany, with a collaborative, international team and opportunities for professional development and growth.
Required Qualifications
- University Engineering Degree or Master in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent
- minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering
- Knowledge of Electronic Warfare principles and interest in mission data for Electronic Warfare Support
- Working knowledge with engineering tools (DOORS, Enterprise Architect)
- Familiarity with Atlassian software (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo)
- Good command of English; German is an advantage
- Willingness to travel within A400M nations (DE, FR, UK, TR, ES, BE)
