Job Summary
Systems Engineer with hybrid work arrangement (2–3 days onsite) to design, implement, and manage enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery across on-premises and government cloud environments. Responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and optimization of storage solutions; monitoring and testing data restoration capabilities; implementing storage technologies; troubleshooting advanced storage and data protection issues; developing technical documentation; ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and regulatory standards; collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating project status to stakeholders; minimum 3+ years in enterprise storage/backup engineering, DoD IT experience, and Active Secret clearance. The role supports DoD-focused infrastructure, with hybrid work locations in Tracy, CA and Dayton, OH.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional engineering experience supporting enterprise storage and backup technologies
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise SAN management (Fiber Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE, HBA/CNA, storage controllers, LUNs, RAID, NAS)
- 2+ years hands-on experience with DoD IT systems
- Hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup and AWS Backup; Azure Recovery Services/Site Recovery
- Active Secret clearance (or higher)
- Security & Certification Requirements: IT-I – Critical Sensitive (Tier 5 / SSBI); IA Level: IAT II - Security +
- Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional; Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert; NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator/Cloud Architect/Implementation Engineer
- Experience with DoD IT systems (2+ years)
