Job Summary
Derive system requirements for battery energy solutions based on customer needs and industry standards, breaking them into actionable sub-systems and tracking validation results. Maintain overall functional responsibility for the system while facilitating trade-off decisions during conflicting requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and external suppliers to drive system development, ensuring functionality, performance, and safety across the product life cycle. Implement industry-specific standards into system design while optimizing solutions within performance, schedule, and cost constraints.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in a relevant technical field (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science)
- 2-5+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong passion for mechanics, electronics, and emerging technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Passionate, purpose-driven mindset
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach
Desired Qualifications
- Experience from the automotive or battery/BMS industry is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience
- Design experience preferred (CAD, electrical schematics, etc.)
- Safety design and validation experience preferred
- Requirement management experience
