Job Summary
Manage access control, folder structures, and schema configuration in IBM DOORS Classic and NextGen environments. Support specification change teams by creating change sections, managing views, assigning data IDs, and maintaining specification baselines. Collaborate with tool development teams to build, test, and deploy automation scripts, while troubleshooting errors in DXL scripts and Java extensions. Coordinate with government customers and contractors to generate partitions for data exchange and execute the structural migration of the specification repository. Work full-time onsite at the Boeing Jetplex facility in Huntsville, AL, with up to 10% travel to Redstone Arsenal. Requires a Secret security clearance and experience with digital engineering workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
- 5 years of related work experience
- Master's degree
- 3 years of related work experience
- 1 year of related work experience with a PhD
- Extensive experience using DOORS Classic
- administration experience
- Familiarity with DOORS NextGen
- key differences between DOORS NextGen and DOORS Classic
- Familiarity with DOORS eXtensible Language (DXL)
- scripting languages used for DOORS NextGen customizations (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or OSLC/REST APIs)
- Strong database administrator (DBA) mindset
- ability to isolate application bugs from backend database failures
- Experience coordinating with government customers, technical leadership, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex technical environments
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent users and engineering workflows in operational environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
- current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance
- Ability and willingness to work on a customer site (Boeing Jetplex)
- Ability and willingness to travel locally up to 10% of the time (Redstone Arsenal)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs or other Department of Defense (DoD) engineering environments
- Experience using Digital Engineering (DE) and Model-Based System Engineering in system design and specification
- Experience supporting proposal development activities and technical volume contributions
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows enterprise environments
- Experience working in classified environments
- Familiarity with Cameo or similar MBSE tools
