Job Summary
Systems Engineer/Developer (TS/SCI w/ Poly) with hands-on expertise across infrastructure, platforms, and application ecosystems spanning cloud and on-prem environments. Owns system reliability, performance, scalability, and security while collaborating across Infrastructure, Platform, DevSecOps, information systems security, and data teams. Lead and execute cloud/on‐prem implementations, migrations, and upgrades; develop as-is/to-be architectures; produce documentation, diagrams, standards, and runbooks. Requires 10+ years of Systems/Linus Engineering experience, Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent, and eligible TS/SCI with FS Poly. Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, Linux (Red Hat/CentOS), PKI/IdAM, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), SDLC, event-driven messaging, IaC (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation), CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions), security hardening, monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana/CloudWatch), and strong cross-team communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
- Minimum ten (10) years of related Systems and Linux Engineering experience
- Infrastructure & Platforms: Enterprise networking, Storage technologies, Container platforms, Linux administration/hardening, PKI for AuthN/AuthZ
- Cloud & On-Prem Technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP; Hybrid and on-prem design/integration
- Data & Application Platforms: Relational and NoSQL databases; web services, APIs, middleware; SDLC fundamentals; event-based messaging systems
- Engineering & Automation: Infrastructure as Code with Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation; CI/CD integration; monitoring and incident response
- Architecture & Design: As-is and To-be architecture documentation; implementation and migration plans
- Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer, Azure Administrator, Kubernetes CKAs/CKAD; ITIL Foundation
