Job Summary
Remote Systems Engineer in Florida responsible for the design and implementation of public-safety radio networks (e.g., ASTRO 25) for state and local government agencies. Lead the technical aspects of assigned projects through design, implementation, testing, licensing, documentation, and cutovers, with 25-50% travel to support projects in the T4W/T4FL territory and focus in South Florida. Collaborate with field teams and customers, manage RF engineering tasks (coverage testing, frequency analysis, interference mitigation), licensing (FCC/Industry), and system documentation. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline and 2+ years of engineering/technical experience (or 4-6 years of experience), with US work authorization and no employer sponsorship. Proficient in radio networks, P25 LMRI concepts, VMware ESXi, Linux, Windows, network protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS), firewalls (Fortinet, Juniper), routers (Nokia 7705, Juniper SRX/MX), and RF/telecom hardware. Travel 25-50%; salary base range $85,000-$95,000; EEO employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline
- 2+ years of engineering or technical experience OR 4-6 years of engineering or technical experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
