Job Summary
Nexteer Automotive Corporation seeks a Systems Engineer – Controls in Saginaw, Michigan. Responsible for the design and analysis of controls for electronic power steering systems using dynamic system modelling and simulation. The role involves validation of control system requirements, technical leadership for projects, system performance optimization, design integration, and algorithm generation for enhanced systems performance.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
- Two years of experience in offered position or a related occupation
- Experience with PID, LQR/RHLQR algorithms, and Model Predictive Controls (MPC)
- Experience with programming and simulation skills (with Matlab/Simulink)
- Experience with performing engineering calculations using spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel)
- Experience with vehicle dynamics, mechanical systems, electronic systems, and computer hardware and software
