Job Summary

Design, implement, and deploy next-generation Strategic Weapon Systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and digital engineering practices. Develop and maintain SysML models, including behavioral, structural, and requirements diagrams, while applying MBSE to architect complex systems through functional decomposition, interface definition, and trade study analysis. Manage requirements using tools like DOORS and integrate them with system models within DoDAF or similar architecture frameworks. Collaborate on cross-functional teams to champion MBSE adoption and leverage AI-driven approaches for continuous improvement. This role supports nuclear command, control, and communications initiatives at General Dynamics Mission Systems in Dedham, MA.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
  • 2+ years of job-related experience
  • Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Desired Qualifications

  • Agile experience
  • Hands-on experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with industry-leading MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Ability to develop and maintain SysML models, including behavioral, structural, and requirements diagrams
  • Experience applying MBSE to architect complex systems, including functional decomposition, interface definition, and trade study analysis
  • Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards with an MBSE-first mindset
  • Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, DOORS Next Generation) and their integration with system models
  • Experience working within DoDAF or similar architecture frameworks to support digital engineering initiatives
