Job Summary
Systems Engineer Application Support for Boehringer Ingelheim in St. Joseph, MO. You will help transform the MES landscape toward a cloud-native architecture using OpenShift/Kubernetes and PostgreSQL, with Docker containerization and Oracle integration; contribute to MES deployment templates; support the lifecycle of local and global manufacturing solutions; lead MES implementation projects globally; collaborate with OT teams for MES integration with shop floor systems; assist in Master Batch Records creation and configuration; provide incident and problem management across regions; perform root-cause investigations (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone); document investigations to GMP and regulatory standards; analyze incident trends and propose improvements; facilitate cross-functional meetings to align stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies (Windows/Linux operating systems, Citrix) and database systems (Oracle / PostgreSQL)
- Associate degree in Computer Science or MIS with a minimum of 4 years experience; or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience; or Master degree in Computer Science, MIS, with minimum 1 year of experience; or relevant Business or IT experience of minimum of 4 years.
- Strong team player with the ability to learn, as well as have a solution-oriented approach and prefer to work in an international and intercultural environment
- Excellent command of English language
- Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
