Job Summary
Define, manage, and maintain system requirements throughout the product development lifecycle while supporting system integration activities across hardware and software domains. Develop verification and validation strategies, execute associated activities, and analyse system performance to investigate technical issues. Contribute to system design and lifecycle engineering by supporting stakeholder reviews, requirements capture, and technical documentation. This role requires 5+ years of experience, an SC security clearance, and is based in Plymouth with an on-site requirement of three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ Years Experience
- Security Clearance: Candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance
- On-site Requirement: 3 Days Per Week
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or relevant technical military background with equivalent experience
- Proven experience applying systems engineering principles throughout the product development lifecycle
- Experience capturing, managing, and tracing requirements within a requirements-driven engineering environment
- Strong understanding of system integration, verification, and validation activities
- Experience supporting hardware and software integration across complex systems
- Ability to analyse technical requirements, system performance, and engineering risks
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Experience integrating sensor-based systems within complex products
- Knowledge of real-time systems and data acquisition environments
- Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS
- Exposure to model-based systems engineering approaches
